Solitude

pix_solitude

Quietness of mind.

Cocooned, surreal state.

Fertile arena for ideas to float.

Doors shut against every rabble,

all noise-some pests.

Wondrous state to ponder anew,

plethora of potential possibilities.

Noiseless lonesomeness soothes

and nourishes my cranium occupant.

Medulla oblongata thanks you!

Reason refreshed on solitude’s

altar; matched only by silence itself.

Otiose state, abandoned in seclusion.

What heaven!!!

Yes, I love my own company.

This sequestration of my mind,

in my space, at my pretty pace,

for my peace. Soothing is the

privacy this isolation brings.

No, you are not welcome

to my state of incognito.

Better to remain faceless

in facing my issues; confronting

them fiends of progress, retooling

my smarts, recharging my batteries.

Oh, how I long to be festooned,

moored on these shores,

permanently!!!

Unclogging My Mind.

Laptops, tablets, mobile phones

Facebook, Instagram, snapchat,

PlayStation, Twitter, IMO, WordPress

Relentless, frenzied

everyday everywhere

Images, voices, gaming

Relentless, all the time

No peace, my consciousness beastly with

Information from all sorts, by all sorts

Relentless, frenzied everyday everywhere

New forms of arrest, enforced captivity,

For all, by all, with all and on all.

Windowless prisons, of the mind and body!

But now my freedom I need.

Sheltered mind, unclogged spirit

The new 6-pack for the subconscious

My mind, Cloistered must be free

Of all junk parlayed as news

From all manner of gossip packaged as social media.

Wo, tu mi sile jo!*

Sit by the brook, unwind by force

Sleep by the dozens

No more insomniac for gadgets.

Listen to the sound of my breathing;

Yawn for no other reason but leisure – yeah!

Release my brain from pressure so severe, it hurts.

Be by myself, into myself, then Outward

Towards He whose Love I got before

I know how to love. Peace floods in …

Merry to the mind, good for the flesh.

Yes, more like a quiet time by the sea side.

Overwhelming feeling, my solitude;

comforting, rejuvenating, hopefully lasting.
{* Free me and let me be!}
